Chris Keup is a songwriter and producer based outside of Charlottesville, VA on a small historic farm where he lives with his family, a hound, chickens and 4 goats. His forthcoming release, All These Songs of Praise, follows his acclaimed solo debut, The Subject of Some Regret, by a mere 15 years. 

As a writer and collaborator he has worked across a variety of genres with artists on Warner Bros., Universal, Elektra, Atlantic, Mercury, Nettwerk, Chrysalis, Ivy League, Virgin and many others. His songs have appeared in numerous TV shows and films (Grey's Anatomy, The O.C., American Idol, Jimmy Fallon, The Heartbreak Kid, One Tree Hill, Vampire Diaries, etc.) and have sold several million copies worldwide. In 2000, ASCAP presented him with the Sammy Cahn lyricist award in a Lincoln Center ceremony (other past winners include John Mayer, Josh Ritter, and Lori McKenna). His work has been showcased at the Sundance Film Festival, SXSW and numerous NYC ASCAP showcases.

His production projects have reached as high as #1 overall on iTunes and #2 on Billboard. He has produced releases for Mercury Records, Warner Bros., Atlantic Records etc., and nearly a hundred independent projects. His development projects have gone on to sign with Epic, Mercury, Warner Bros., Or Music, Cherry Lane, Warner Chappel and many others.
